iChase the Cure 7th Annual 5K for PLGA : Spring 2017

Come join us on a nice and sunny day for a fun 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk! Grab everyone you can think of and enjoy a nice day on the Esplanade while supporting some of the families in your community along with thousands of others that will benefit from your funding and increased awareness. This is our 7th annual 5K and we expect it to be better than ever! So, join us at a perfect event to participate in leading up to Marathon Monday for a fun/flat/speedy 5K, the cause, or a great way to experience Boston and meet new people!

There will be BALLOONS, PRIZES, MUSIC, FOOD, AND MORE FUN! All proceeds go to the PLGA Foundation, d.b.a. A Kid's Brain Tumor Cure. Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer death in children! The Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytoma Foundation is the largest, and only non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope to children, parents, and families fighting PLGAs. A T-Shirt is included with registration. Only Pre-Registered Participants are guaranteed a T-Shirt of the size they order, so register online ASAP!

DIRECTIONS
Registration and the start line are at 2 different locations, although rather close!
To get to Registration, cross the ramp footbridge to the DCR Charles River Esplanade located at 1 Silber Way, Boston, MA 02215 (Google Silber Way Overpass, Boston, MA 02215) or cross the stair footbridge located behind BU's Marsh Chapel on 735 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215 and walk towards the BU Sailing Pavilion (West) on the DCR Esplanade.
To get there you can get off on the Green line (B, C, D) at Kenmore Station or even closer if you take the B line to Blandford St. (for the ramp footbridge) or BU East (for the stair footbridge) or Buses 8, 57, 60, 65, 19 for Kenmore Station or Bus 57 for Blandford St or Marsh Chapel.
To get to the Start/Finish Line walk west from Registration.
Course: The 5K will start at the BU Sailing Pavilion (west from Registration), go out towards the direction of the Hatch Shell (but not that far!), and circle back.
There will balloons and volunteers waiting to direct you!
Parking: Limited street parking will be available in the surrounding area on Bay State Road and Commonwealth Avenue. We encourage you to arrive by T!
